Four days ago, Biomassed reported a surge of tweets using the hashtag “PortDust514”. This campaign quickly picked up momentum on Twitter and on the EVE Online subreddit.
The goal of #PortDust514 is to encourage more open and transparent communication with CCP Shanghai and the DUST 514 playerbase in regards to the future of DUST on the current platform, or any other platform.
About a day after the campaign started, The Neocom published a post asking for DUST 514 players and EVE Online players alike to send in audio submissions saying why they support #PortDust514.
In less than 72 hours, 22 DUST and EVE players sent in audio to be cut together into a brief commercial, for lack of a better word.
Today, Neocom released the official audio from the submissions they received, which had been cut together and set to music. This is what they came up with.
I would like to personally thank everybody at The Neocom for their support throughout this campaign. I would also like to thank all the EVE players who sent in audio, as well as all the DUST players who sent audio in to support Ripley Riley’s campaign.
Remember, just because there was some audio released does not mean that the push is over. Communication between CCP and the DUST community is still lacking. DUST mercenaries and EVE pilots are strongly encouraged to keep tweeting to Hilmar and CCP Rouge using the hashtags “PortDust514” and “tweetfleet”.
