Episode 127: “What is Florida Man?”

Jadek and Livvy join the Biomassed hosts to discuss Overwatch’s Halloween event, the changes coming with the EVE: Ascension expansion in November, Final Fantasy XIV, Resident Evil 7, a Red Dead teaser, and a player-suggested monetization model for Nova.

We are still looking for more responses to the Biomassed Listener Survey! It’s really helped us, and we’re looking for more of your input!

Check out the Overwatch Halloween Terror event trailer. The event runs until November 1st. And here’s the trailer for Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood. There’s also a new trailer for Resident Evil 7.

The announcement of EVE: Ascension is here. There are specific dev blogs to talk about Engineering Complexes and the EULA changes. Also, check out the pink ships available this month for a good cause!

Here’s Talos Vagheitan’s thread which kicked off our Nova topic for this week. And welcome to peak 2016.

It’s available now on iTunes or you can find it at http://biomassed.net/podcast

  1. When LogicLoop responded to a post that only said “-” and I explained that a thread like that was the perfect thread for him to respond to as he could show us he was still reading without having to worry about getting sucked into a discussion about stuff he was not allowed to talk about, I got a “Like” on my post from CCP LogicLoop to confirm I was spot on. 😉

    • I doubt much of anyone at CCP working on Nova enjoys the silence any more than we do, and obviously the devs are super aware of how it’s perceived. I wasn’t surprised at all to end up seeing a bunch of blue posts in that thread.

  2. It is a good point that the people who do not pay in a Free to Play game are still creating content for those who do pay. This is particularly true for a PVP game.

    • Yeah, a lot of paid games eventually become difficult to find matches for and stuff because there aren’t enough people for matchmaking to work with. You can’t play two year old Call of Duty games, everyone’s playing the latest one.
