In a press release today, Paradox Interactive announced it has purchased White Wolf Publishing from CCP, including all assets and intellectual property. White Wolf Publishing, a subsidiary of CCP Games, manages the properties World of Darkness, Vampire: The Masquerade, and Werewolf: The Apocalypse.
Since purchasing White Wolf in 2006, CCP spent nine years developing a World of Darkness MMO, before cancelling the project in 2014. As this transaction includes any assets developed for the franchise, it’s possible Paradox may choose to put some of those resources to new use.
